IncidentMonitor™ What's New IncidentMonitor version 3.1.0 was released on September 1, 2003. Some of the features included in this release are as follows:

Skill Sets At Any Level / Teams IncidentMonitor™ allows you to design your own team structures that can be used to combine resources into groups for management and responsibility purposes. Your team structure can have as many levels as you need with each level having one or more team leads. The teams can also be used for assigning skill sets. When the system encounters a team within the skills area, all members of the team will be seen as having the skill set. This greatly simplifies the skills management matrix for request auto assignment and load balancing.

Skill sets can now be assigned at the project, folder, activity level, category or sub category. This provides a great deal of flexibility to be as specific as you need to be for special situations and as general as you need for other situations. This also reduces the amount of management to almost nothing. Details...

Enhanced Name Space Support IncidentMonitor™ name space support has been enhanced to support Novell NetWare 5.x/6.x and eDirectory in addition to just about any other LDAP server. These can be used as a source of contact information as well as authentication if the name space supports it.

Name Space Dynamic Synchronization IncidentMonitor™ provides the ability to dynamically interact/synchronize with most name spaces in order to provide up to date information within the system or authenticate users. IncidentMonitor™ supports most common name spaces such as Windows NT, Windows 2000, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Novell NetWare 3.x/4.x/5.x/6.x/eDirectory and most other LDAP servers.

Additionally, IncidentMonitor™ can support other proprietary systems for synchronization by plugging in your own data adapter for the source of the data. In the past we have used this to connect to other database systems and proprietary systems. For example, when a new product sale has been logged in the accounting system, automatically create a contact and support login for the person in the support system. Details...

Customized Menus IncidentMonitor™ provides you with the ability to add your own custom menu item with a number of sub menu items on the main Windows interface. You can specify the name of each menu item in addition to the ActiveX control that will be launched when the menu item is selected. Each menu it is integrated with the IncidentMonitor™ security system which means you can also control access to the feature based on their group membership. This provides a great way to introduce your own functionality all within the same environment.

Full Management Of Assets

IncidentMonitor™ ships with an unlimited asset management feature that provides remote control and a scanning agent for Personal Computers and Servers within your organization that operate any of the Microsoft operating systems. IncidentMonitor™ now provides the ability to add/edit attributes and sections of non-IT assets. This means that you have complete access to the entire information surrounding non-IT related assets from anywhere.

XML Request Creation

IncidentMonitor™ has enhanced the ability to create requests via an XML message from another system or application. This feature supports automatic categorization of the request based on content, automatic contact creation and automatic routing. This is a great feature to tie into system management systems for event handling.

IncidentMonitor version 3.2 is only weeks away....just imagine whats in that
