Escalation Emails to external email acount

Hi all, has anyone had any luck getting Escalation emails to send to external email accounts? I am only able to get it to send note-it messages. But we will be requiring external users to be receiving these escalation messages.

Any help appreciated.

Appears as though I've solved my own issue.

The user running the Escalation server requires to have an email type of "Internet Mail" to enable the email to be sent. Also note that the escalation server requires to be restarted to enable the changes.
