Easy Set Up and Maintenance??? Hey guys. I'm in the midst of setting up / planning a WLAN for some property owners of some MDU's and we're looking at airespace for the wireless infrastructure (AP’s and switch) but as far as the operational support systems we were thinking about RBS Hotspot to handle the billing, CRM, AAA and such. I mean the package SOUNDS good reading about it on paper. An all-in-one answer that brings all the above aspects of operation and customer support together would be great BUT it seems like getting up and running and integrating it into a system is anything BUT what's claimed from what I read on boards. It sounds terrible hard to setup and configure. I wonder if it’ll even work/hook into an airspace ACS system. Is RBS REALLY an all in one package that takes the hassle out of setting up your business? They say that RBS Hot-spot software provides support for most Routers, Access Servers and Access Points, in the market, as well as interoperability with most other RADIUS vendors but WHICH of the MOST? Do you know of any lists because looking around I turn up nill. From your experience with RBS have you guys saved yourself valuable configuration time? Supposedly, Once RBS Hotspot billing is set up, you have RADIUS, billing and user self management all ready to go, out of the box. Is that the case? I would love for all this to be true. RBS appears to be SO inclusive it’d be awesome to have all these things come together but do they? RBS Hotspot software is designed to be easy to setup even for non technical personal. Yes? Is Backoffice RADIUS setup is already made so you need to know very little about this protocol to get started? Alepo says that “Most RBS users are up and running within hours, that is, they are ready to accept calls, have rating plans defined, web self care and registration running, invoices and more.” Has that been the case for you guys? I really want RBS to be all it says that it is but from what I read I wonder. Would I be better off building in all my OSS out of applications that are just pieces from here-and-there? Thanks in advance for your input! |
