We are a Melb Aust based company looking at Help Desk software, currently looking at InfraActive, Remedy/Peregrine. I have found a PC Magazine Comparison from 1998, is there a more recent one of leading products, particularly web based products?

remedy is still good so im told, the trick here is to find one that is licensed by the server rather than the client. as this stuff can get expensive you want one which lets users log and review calls via the web, most do now.

Remedy after the integration with peregrine where completly changed from the support point of view and customer support which became unprofitional at all, besides peregrine is facing financial problems, and every time u will face some surprizing news which u dont need to face..... look for another product better

You may also consider looking at HEAT, Microsoft CRM Service and Support, or eCRM by Computer Associates. These are very good help desk solutions. I will see if I could locate a side by side comparison.
