amberCat Insight Anyone? Quote | Reply

I have been reviewing this help desk software for about a month and I have probably looked at over 20 packages. It seems to me that this product has a great look and feel and ease of use plus it scales to SQL. Is anyone out there using it and What do you think of it?

I have no experience of amberCat but I can recommend ieSupportManager from www.ieComputerSystems.ie It uses an ODBC connection to an SQL database so you can write additional reports ( although the package comes with a complete suite of reports ). It is easy to use and is very customizable. All the field names can be changed to best suit your needs which also makes it multi-lingual. An evaluation copy of the software can be downloaded from the website.

We're looking at Ambercat right now too - for the money, it seems to be wonderfully functional and customizable.

If anyone has any input, it would be helpful.

They were rated well in a couple of comparison articles I found on other tech sites.
