Helpdesk software for software development Quote | Reply

Hi

I work on a software development team for an internal software product that services a large manufacturing company with many plants. Many Help desk products are "hardware" IT based.

Do any of you recommend any products that are geared for the software industry? We are looking for a moderately priced $5000 to $10,000 for unlimited licenses, a product that is customizable where we are able to add and delete fields and reference tables to new fields.

Thank you for your recommendations.

Robert,
It sounds like ieSupportManager will suit your needs. It is competively prices and is well within your budget.

ieSupportManager is a fully featured helpdesk software utility including call & problem logging and a fully searchable knowledgebase.

A fully functional evaluation copy maybe downloaded for FREE from the website

And also keep your eyes open for any help desk software that allows you to edit the fields. If you can edit the fields, then you can most likely configure it for your needs.

I would take a look at ProjecTrak Help Desk. In researching helpdesk applications for my own company, I met with a representative for this product just the other day. From what he told me, the product is very customizable. They will work with you so that the software works to your company's needs. Also, the cost is relatively low compared to other helpdesk applications out there. It wouldn't hurt just to check it out. Good Luck.
