After a very slick demo from the Network Associates sales guy, our upper management decided to buy this product four months ago. This is the "state of the art" they said - its a "strategic decision that is part of an integrated strategy to double productivity in the support department".

Which sounds to me as if they got sold on the notion that they could pay for the software by halving the support staff.

Well, just as I predicted the difference between the demo and the reality is huge. We had the Network Associates consultants in and out for two months just setting it up and it still doesn't work right. Contrary to what the sales guy told us, it does not work AT ALL. What's worse is that Network Associates seems to be in a state of total confusion and for the past two months I have not even been able to get intelligent support.

Now I read that their stock price has collapsed, all the engineers are leaving and the CEO has resigned. Meanwhile, we are back to support via email....

Sorry, I should have said that it does not work with Netscape at all. With IE, it does work some of the time.

I did not realize that Magic uses Active Server Pages, which does not work on netscape. In a web based world who knows how someone will need to access your application. Does anyone know where I can find some HTML, non questionable technology.

I know nothing about your current problems but ASP is server based and would not cause a problem with any browser as such. The HTML it generates might of course, especially if it uses VB script instead of JavaScript.
